After what he did to them a month back, Seth VanDeest didn’t leave the sight of Davenport Assumption’s defenders Friday.

But the rest of the Bulldogs frequently slipped through, enabling Bettendorf to nab a 60-44 victory. The win was the Bulldogs’ 16th straight.

Three players scored in double figures for Bettendorf (18-3, 15-1 Mississippi Athletic Conference), but curiously, that didn’t include VanDeest.
