Players were diving for basketballs, giving up their bodies. Players were battling hard for rebounds, knocking each other around. Players were going chest-to-chest on defense, bumping each other to the floor at times.

Assumption held Central without a basket in overtime, and three players cashed in free throws during the extra session as the Knights prevailed by a 55-52 margin. The defeat officially knocked the Blue Devils out of a chance to repeat as league champions.</blockquote>
